Morning Bircher muesli
Bircher muesli bowl.
I make this for my daughter Leila,who is a HUGE fan and it keeps in the fridge for 3 days ( if it's not eaten in one )
Packed with oats, apple, blackberries, flaxseeds, greek yoghurt ( or a dairy alternative)
It's a nutrient dense staple rich in B vitamins,
Zinc, Magnesium and a power house of
antioxidants.
Recipe
1 apple coarsely grated
50 g Jumbo porridge oats
50 g mixed berries ( blackberry, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry ) Frozen is fine
25g mixed seeds ( flaxseeds, linseeds, chia seeds)
100g full fat Bio yoghurt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Add the oats, berries, mixed seeds, yoghurt and cinnamon into a kilner jar or something similar and mix ..add a little water if the mixture is too dry.
stir in grated apple
Pop into fridge and leave overnight.
You can add a teaspoon of Honey to taste
